About Start Times

🏅Full Marathon
The start is at 8:30, and you may begin any time up to 9:00. However, your time limit (6.5 hours) and course cut-off times are calculated based on an 8:30 start (overall limit: 15:00).

If you start after 9:00, please let a staff member at the start line know.

🏅Half Marathon
Runners start in sequence within an assigned 30-minute window between 9:00 and 11:00. Your start time window is printed on your bib.

⚠️ Starting after 11:00 is not permitted

If your start time changes, please go to the start area corresponding to your new time slot.

Parent & Child Run: 11:30 mass start

Announcements will also be made at the venue, so please gather at the start area before your start time.

⏱️Timing Mats
Please make sure to cross the timing mat at the start line, marked by the air arch.

If you do not cross the timing mat, your time cannot be recorded (the Parent & Child Run is not timed).

📋Race-Day Runner Check-In
There is no runner check-in on race day. Please wear the bib number sent to you in advance and go directly to the start area (announcements will also be made periodically at the venue).

Timing, Bib Number, T-shirt & Results

📡Timing
Your time is recorded via the IC timing tag attached to your bib. Please check the notes on the back and be sure to wear it on your chest. Your bib and IC tag do not need to be returned — please keep them as a souvenir.

🏷️Bib Number
Your bib (with IC tag attached) will be mailed to your registered address. For runners who ordered a T-shirt, it also serves as your exchange voucher, so please be sure to bring it on race day.

Awards

🏆Awards & Lucky Draw

At the closing ceremony (planned for 14:30), we will award the top 3 male and female finishers in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5km Run, as well as the Best Costume Award (there is no award ceremony for the Parent & Child Run).

If a Best Costume Award winner finishes after the ceremony has started, their prize will be sent afterward (Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5km Run awards are given only to those present at the venue).

A lucky draw prize will also be given to finishers of any event, chosen at random. Prizes are expected to be shipped in mid-May.

Venue Facilities & Services

🚪Changing Areas
Outdoor changing tents will be set up at the venue. Space is limited and crowding is expected, so please plan accordingly.

🎒Baggage Area
Plastic bags and tape will be provided. Please write your bib number on your bag before placing it in the designated area.

Valuables and fragile items cannot be accepted. The organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage.
Baggage pickup closes at 15:00.

🚻Restrooms
Portable restrooms will be available at the main venue and each aid station, though in limited numbers. Please use restrooms at the station or other public facilities before arriving.

📏Distance Markers
Markers are generally placed every 2km.

💪Warm-Up
Please be sure to warm up and stretch before your race, and cool down afterward. Warm-up guidance will also be given on stage before each event.

💆Body Care
A massage booth staffed by the Romiss Swedish Massage team will be available near the finish line.

If You Need to Withdraw

🚌Withdrawal Procedure

If you need to withdraw from the race, please go to the nearest aid station and let a staff member know. From there, please make your way to the nearest bus stop and take a bus back to the main venue.

A sweep vehicle and collection bus follow behind the last Half Marathon runners. If you are past the time limit, you must board the collection bus.

Getting to the Venue: Shuttle Bus

🚌Shuttle Bus (Planned Outbound Departure Times)

Shuttle buses run from Kurikoma-Kogen Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen), Semine Station (JR Tohoku Main Line), Tome City Hall, and each runner parking area. Spectators are also welcome to ride, but runners will be given priority when buses are crowded.

Parking

🚗About Parking
Parking is available only to those who have registered in advance.

If you registered for parking when you signed up as a runner, a parking pass will be enclosed with your bib mailing. Please be sure to use the designated parking lot.

If you forgot to register, please apply online by Sunday, April 11 using the URL below.

About Costumes

🎭Best Costume Award

This year's theme is TBA — feel free to join in whatever costume inspires you! ※to be confirmed (2027 theme not yet decided)

How to Enter: Sign up at the "SDGs Booth" at the venue on race day (registration 8:10–12:30)
You must register on race day to be eligible for the Best Costume Award. If you're interested, please be sure to stop by.

If a costume is disruptive to other runners, violates public decency, or is judged likely to cause heatstroke or otherwise interfere with racing, we may ask you to change or withdraw.

Other Information

🌧️In Case of Rain
The event will take place rain or shine. If the event must be canceled due to severe weather warnings, we will announce this by 6:00am on race day on our official website.

Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of cancellation. Course conditions may be subject to partial changes.

🗑️Waste & Litter
Please dispose of any trash on the course in the bins provided. We ask that you take any trash from the venue home with you if possible. If using an eco-station, please be sure to sort your waste.

📷Photos & Video
Photos and video taken during the event may be used on our website, in future event flyers and posters, in magazines, and by other media outlets.

🍶Festivals Held at the Same Time
The Tome Food Festival and Tohoku Sake Festival will be held at the same venue, offering delicious local food from Tome City and tastings from sake breweries and wineries across Miyagi Prefecture.

Drinking and driving is strictly prohibited.

🎁A Note to Runners (Gifts for Our Volunteers)
Would you consider bringing a small gift from your hometown as a thank-you to the volunteers who make this event possible? The event office will make sure your gift reaches the volunteers working that day.

Please bring your gift, along with a short message if you'd like, to the T-shirt exchange tent before the start. Please avoid perishable items or sweets that do not keep well.

Health Checklist

💓 Please Review Before You Participate
Water and sports drinks are available at every aid station — please stay hydrated throughout the race. If you feel unwell on race day, even slightly, please do not push yourself and consider not starting.
Except for first aid, the organizer bears no responsibility for illness or accidents.
