Information for Overseas Runners
First of all, thank you very much for your registration for the Tohoku Food Marathon 2025! We are very excited to have you all coming all the way from overseas to enjoy the beautiful scenery, delicious food, and welcoming culture of the region, Tohoku.
Please kindly see below for the information for overseas runners, and we will look forward to seeing all of you in 10 days!
(1) The race venue:
As we have already informed you on the registration site, the race will be held at the Naganuma Futopia Park. You can access the venue via a car or free shuttles from the station below.

The shuttles will be operated based on the train schedule. You can find the free shuttle once you arrive at the station.
- From Kurikoma Kogen Station (JR Shinkansen) : The shuttle will leave at 7:40, 8:00, 8:35, 9:20, 10:05 AM, taking about 30 minutes to the venue.
- From Semine Station (local JR Tohoku Line) : The shuttle will leave at 7:40, 7:55, 8:15, 8:35, 9:20, 9:40 AM, taking about 20 minutes to the venue.
(2) For your bibs:
You can pick up your bibs and T-shirts (if you purchased previously) at the Help Desk located around the T-shirts pick-up areas of the venue. Please have your inquiry number (like "E000902-----") that you received from your registration site, with your photo identification ready to show us at the Help Desk.
The Help Desk will open at 8am on the race day, April 20th.
(3) Marathon Participation Guide:
Please kindly see below for the Participation Guide in English. We benefited from the recent progress of Gen AI and translated the original Japanese guide into English using the Chat GPT (GPT 4.o). As it said on Chat GPT, it may make some mistakes, so please allow some and let us know should there be any questions.

(4) Tohoku Food Night 2025
This year, we will hold the Tohoku Food Night 2025 as below. For those who would like to join, please make sure to register yourself, using the link below. by April 12th (Saturday). Once you register, please come to the venue directly and pay JPY 5,000 of your participation fee at the entrance before proceeding to the party.

Lastly, but most importantly, we have prepared a lot of fresh and deliciou Tohoku foods for you to enjoy during the race, including Sendai beef, fresh apples from Aomori, popular peach pickles, Zunda roll cake, and much more! You can also enjoy over 50 different Sakes from all over the Tohoku region after the race. Please be ready to enjoy the race, foods, and sake on the race day!
